This is a tricky one... It's a photo taken on film (one of the few times i used kodak film, i usually used fuji superia) and the placed on a piece of white paper then over my desklamp and photographed using my sony dsc-w1 to rudimentarily scan it... After which of course a quick invert (don't remember the exact operation) and voila, a scanned bw positive from my film. never did get around to actually scanning the film itself.

But it was one of the pictures which really impressed me, one of those candid quick before he wakes up ones only to see the expression in his eyes when you develop it. Oh, film photography was so much better. Too bad it was so much more expensive as well...

I like his expression, it's like seeing the light of day for the first time...

thanks for the appreciation

serendipity played its part as well here, i just liked the strip too and decided to keep it; if you ask me it gives 50% of the value...

10x again for the uh-ha :D

When I first saw this, I thought of something from the Halocaust, but this is very well done. I like that it's a filmstrip.

i think the "rushy" effect of the whole works
added more attitude to the picture

first of all thank you and second of all why do you say that? i mean it's not like i do anything to harm them, nor do they have a public image that i may shatter with this one shot. i consider it just like taking a photo of you... basically just someone on the street, difference being they live on the street.. it's a story to be told, let them have at least that if nothing more..

Very well done, I like the whole feel of it.
Although, it seems kind of mean to take pictures of homeless people >_<
